Pics o D.

We are home. Everyone is content. D. is taking a nap on DH. We decided, selfishly, that we are going to spoil him with love. I'd love to get him to sleep for extended periods in the crib, but for now, naps on the belly are making the whole family happy...

Congrats, Meredith! He is beautiful, and worth the wait! Great name, too. :) Your organs finally have their space back! Thanks for sharing, and giving hope and good advice to all of us with MAs. Hope your little family will find a new version of "normal" soon, where you can get some sleep!

oh my god, he is so so beautiful. He definitely looks like your baby. I am dying to talk to you but I'm letting you be the caller because I don't want to steal your attention from your new beauty.

Yes, napping on the chest and all the spoiling-with-love in the world is highly recommended. (Don't worry about sleep habits til much much later.)

what a perfect boy. I especially love his lips.

love you,
s

Oh he is absolutely perfect! I love the lips & he really does look like your kid! The pic of the two of you is so happy- I can feel the joy through the screen!

Enjoy all the cuddling & snuggling. I think it is impossible to spoil a baby in the first 3 months anyway!

He's gorgeous, and you look great too!

Sleep is sleep, who cares how you get it, just do what works til it doesn't work any more.

You're not spoiling him at all, just honouring his needs :)

He's beautiful! You know, the Bean wasn't my first baby, and I *knew* I shouldn't let her get into the habit of napping on my tummy... but after a tough pregnancy I couldn't have cared less. She napped on my tummy every afternoon until she was 5 months old. And when she started daycare she switched to napping on her own no problem!

Congratulations!

You are absolutely glowing and he is absolutely an angel. You know what they say...the babies born from bedrest mom's are extra special and extra cool. Well....okay I just made that up, but it sounded good, huh? I am so freakin proud of you, lots of hugs and congrats!!
