Unbelievable. Really.
Yesterday's appointment went well. My cervix has made some progress. I am a solid 3 cm, 90% effaced and the baby is at -1 station. OB joked that maybe he would see me on Thanksgiving:)
Then last night the contractions started. Stronger than usual, although not coming at any regular intervals. I sacked out on the couch watching the Anti.ques Ro.ad Sh.ow. I was occasionally woken by one. I got off the couch and went to bed.
Then, about 1 am it started. Strong ass contractions with a monster backache. I tracked them while DH slept for about an hour. 8 minutes apart.... then 6 minutes... finally 5 minutes... My back was killing me so I stretched out using the birthing ball.
Then the buggers stopped. Completely. No more contractions for me. And I fell back to sleep.
2 hours of hard work and it was all stopped by what I now call the "anti-birthing ball." Dumbass thing. Should have just laid in bed and took the backache:(
BBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
We really thought this was the start...

YAY! Maybe I'll be right after all! And, the birthing ball stopped mine last go around - I was cursing the ball, too! :) So excited for you to have the little one!
Oh Man! What a tease! Hopefully this is the start of some good prgressive labor- and you get an easy labor after your tough pregnancy!
Definitely did some work though, I expect to hear more news like this. Come on d'Jerry!
Oh girl I"m so sorry about the pesky contractions stopping! I've been thinking strong cervix changing contractions for you! Maybe it will be a turkey baby after all? You sound like you made great progress with the 3cm 90%. The good thing is that since your cervix is so "favorable" with being like that already (3cm- 90%) - most likely you'll fly through labor quickly. But that's just my assvice, maybe it's just my wishful thinking for my favorite girl! ((hugs))
Maybe they'll start back up again soon, maybe he will be a Thanksgiving Baby :)
Sorry it faked you out though!
Wow, he keeps you on your toes constantly!! Hopefully you will have a yummy feast and a good rest Thursday and be pushing Friday!!
LOL! OMG. That is so my luck. I would get some good strong contractions maybe 5 minutes apart, decide to go for a walk to help things along and watch everything will settle down.
Maybe a thanksgiving baby is in store for you though? Good luck!
Hope there aren't any more false alarms. Good luck whenever the real labor begins!
Well, fuck. Sooo not funny at this point. Can your OB do one of those "stretch & sweep" thingies?
Is there some kind of herbal "eviction tea" you can drink?
This is beyond a joke for you!
