Show and Tell - Nov. 2, 2008 + the story

When it rains it pours.
I have disclosed this before, but here are a few glimpses (look to the right back.)
I have a tattoo of the M.orton's S.alt G.irl on my back.
Yes, because I am kinda salty.
(two of the pics are from my wedding)

UPDATED with non-story story:
Two commenters have asked for the "story" behind the tattoo. I didn't write one because there really isn't one. I am an artist. I love old commercial graphics. This image in particular always resonated with me. And I am really kind of a salty lady. I wanted something that would represent well as a line drawing, without any color. Thought about the coppertone girl too. But Susy Morton is so sweet. How could I resist?

DH ws supposed to go with me and get his own at the same time. Didn't happen. Now he wants to get one after the boy arrives to mark the event. I may get another too?? Who knows.

cool tattoo!! I sometimes think that I might get one one day but never quite even get round to looking at tattoos, instead the most outrageous thing that I've done to myself is to get a second set of ear piercings!! too tame!!

That's awesome! I love tattoos of things you never expect to see. One day, I'll get around to getting the one I've been pining for quite a while ...

Thanks for sharing

Cool tat! I have a dragon surrounded by stars on my back and a dragon/dolphin yin yang on my calf.

How cute! I do wonder the story behind choosing the salt girl though...

What a fun tattoo--good choice. So what is the story to getting it?

Cool tat. I LOVE your hair color in your wedding photo!

I have a tattoo on my leg, inside of ankle and I hate it. I really want it removed. Andrew always wipes it and says, "dirt!" LOL.

OK--nothing to show, but thought I'd delurk. Just found you through Susanna's blog (I LOVE blog analytics), after she found me, maybe through Alexa's blog (who knows?). Anyway, we're in the same town (picked right up on that reference to the World Series parade...cunning aren't I). Wanted to send you a bit of a virtual shout out and a congrats on making it to 35 weeks (if and when we ever get there--my partner is 26 weeks, 1 day pregnant with a little girl, which is huge for us given that her last pregnancy ended at 23 weeks and ended up being pretty traumatic given that only one of our twins made it through the NICU rollercoaster) we'll do a huge happy dance. Hopefully we'll be dancing for other reasons on Tuesday. Let's hope Philly's vote really does turn out.

I love it- I have 2 tats myself. There's a third I've wanted for years, but it's pretty big & involved (ie- expensive) & it always seemed like something more important needed to be paid for. The hub & I might get something after our little monkey is born, but who knows...

I've always had a taste for salty over sweet. Maybe THAT's why I like you so much.

p.s. i would love to hop on my magic camel and travel across the dusty seas of this country to come cut your hair.

I'm new to the world of TTC and just wanted to let you know that I have enjoyed reading your story. I am praying for you!

...Oh, and I've never had the guts to get a tattoo, but sometimes I think about just heading over to the parlor after work. :)

Love the tattoo! I've been too chicken to ever get one. The best I could ever do was get my upper ear pierced in college. It got SO infected, and I thought that I could beat it because I was a Microbiology major...um, yeah. I have a nifty upper ear scar now, though :)
