hospital bedrest - day 2

After a scary few days, we are finally calming down. I am being treated with procardia for contractions, had 2 steriod shots and am slated for progrstone shots. The current thought is I will be in the hospital for at least four weeks, till I am28 weeks along. But that will be confirmed after the peri's meet to discuss my case on Monday.
I feel good. Worried, but not frightened. I know we did the right thing and feel like it was my first good choice as a mom. Now I just need to learn how to deal with bedrest. My back is jacked and sleep eludes me. I am scared of a whole month without fresh air, or to see a tree. But I will give it all up to have a healthy boy.
That you so much for you kind words. I have been especially encouraged by stories from those of you who had ic and went on to deliver. And thanks to me for getting the word out so I can feel so loved.
I Am Updating when I can via I.phone but won' be able to visit all your sites so much. But am thinking abound all of you.
Xoxo

Catching up on some blog reading while on vacation. I'm so sorry you are dealing with this, but it sounds like you are in MUCH better hands than the previous hospital. Good for you for taking action!! Hang in there!

It will get easier to sleep at least as you go along and your metabolism adjusts to the activity level of a panda. Keeping your mind busy helps.

The aches and pains are hard to deal with - and I found that as my belly grew and my muscles shrank it was alarmingly uncomfortable to get up too. I tried to change positions as much as possible (sticking of course to bedrest approved positions).

I hope the hospital has a good TV! So sorry you are going through this, but really, your treatment now sounds good. I took Procardia too, and Indomethacin and it helped control contractions quite a bit.

Hang in there...

Hey girl - as always you're in my thoughts. Keep kickin it for at least 4 more weeks with the roomie...I know you're one tough mama, and if anyone can do it you sure can. Make us gals of the messed up ute club proud, okay? Hugs!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. If you make it in there a whole month I may just have to splurge and buy you one of those snazzy $90 hospital gowns that someone forwarded me about. You deserve to kick back in style - although I have to admit some of those gowns still looked a bit odd, didn't they? ((hugs))

I'm glad you and the boy are in safer hands now. Hang in there with the bedrest, you'll make it through though I know it sucks.

Yikes lots happened while I was gone. I hope the next 4 weeks fly by, it sounds as though you are in good care. I am saying a novena to Saint Philomena for you.

Good Tuesday morning to you! I just like leaving you messages in different forms so you stay on your toes while you're on that ever active duty of a bedrest babe :-) Was up at 3:30 AM again and thought of you and the roomie as always. ((hugs))
