Still catching up

Sarah and Scarred bellybutton both very kindly gave me a Pink Rose Award. I wanted to acknowledge how sweet it was and assure you both that I did not forget:) Thanks! I am on it - but probably not till tomorrow...

After 10 months ttc with not a single bfp, I just completed my initial whirlwind of fertility testing (that was such a fun month!) and the SHG revealed a septum and an adhesion. The extent of neither is really known to me yet, but the physician's assistant who did all my tests implied that it was not major. "Definitely not bicornuate" she said. Based on what, I'm not sure. At any rate, she said but that hysteroscopy would probably be recommended, maybe with the lap or not. I have learned tons since then, especially about the problems with only an internal diagnosis. So when we have our follow-up to discuss all results, I'll know what questions to ask! I have been joking with friends that my poor uterus laid dormant so long, it started to attach to itself on the inside (the adhesion)... and that my uterus skipped a few development classes back in the womb, and so it needs some remedial instructions on proper shape and form. I am very much afraid that this little Ute issue isn't our only problem, however, but I just keep telling myself that it is probably the biggest obstacle and going under the knife (or the itty bitty scissors) will be a good thing. Your blog was lots of fun to read up on (Thanks, I blew the last hour+ when I was supposed to be doing laundry!!). Congratulations on the pregnancy!!
